Many Thanks to all that helped with our recent Yard Sale.

Many THANKS to all that helped work, donate supplies and participate in the
Paulding Meadows Festival
on September 6th and 7th, 2008

We sold out of turkey legs by the end of Saturday it was so busy. We also sold chicken strips,
roasted corn, fried pies, and drinks. Pastor Stephen Zehnder did the worship service at the festival stage on Sunday morning and Luther's Mountain performed the worship service music. We all had a wonderful weekend and enjoyed the food, arts & crafts, music and fellowship with one another.

Many THANKS to all who helped re-roof the building
for Our Community Outreach Project on July 26, 2008

Carolyn and Gaston Williamson, Tony, Susan,
Yancey Sr., Rodolfo, Bobbie, Anne, Charlie, and Lynn (Ben also present)
We appreciate everyone's hard work throughout the day and how much it was appreciated!

This picture is some of us on the roof top! Yancey, Charlie, Susan, Lynn and Tony checking it out, seeing what we had to do. The old roof was taken off and rotten boards were removed and new wood added and re-roofed. All done before the rain that evening!

They all volunteered to help repair the roof on the shed which was leaking. Thrivent approved and provided the funds and we provided the labor! It was a great day of fellowship and hard work.

Vacation Bible School "AMAZING JOURNEY" June 9, 10 & 11, 2008

Vacation Bible School 2008
This year’s VBS, “The Amazing Journey”, used bug themes to teach valuable Bible lessons.
The week began with Firefly Day which encouraged the children to make their Christian light shine and not keep it hidden away.
We studied the wonder of God’s creation (Genesis) and then made really cute bug boxes so they could catch some fireflies of their own.
The second day was Bee Day – you know the Bee-attitudes. The Bible lesson went through the Beatitudes from a child’s perspective.
The kids made Bee Your Best mobiles and bee-utiful bee cutouts. Then we had Frog Day – and the children learned about the plagues
God set upon Egypt. The attendees made frog-shaped thermometers with suction cups to put up on their windows.
Each day we had “buggy food” for our snacks. The children made big apple bugs, and bugs on a log and we ended up with two huge
worm-infested cakes (gummy worms, don’t worry). In addition there were relay races, sack races, water balloons, water squishies contests,
beach ball parachute toss and so much more. All in all, everyone had a great time including the adults.
Thanks to Stacey Miner, Gerry White, Kara Bechtel, Susan Erskine, Kayla and Rodolfo – from me…Ellen East.

Congratulations to Jordan Melde
on graduating from high school with honors!

Many Thanks to all who helped donate goods and work the Church Yard Sale on May 17th. We had a great success and the money will go toward our new playground. Praise the LORD!

Many Thanks to all who helped put together our new playground!
